This book is pretty awesome.
This novel starts off better than the previous two in this series but it flounders once the two main characters are married. Sometimes the female protagonist, Bethia, is so naive you want to shake her. It takes her forever to realize the faults with her parents. Also, she is too easily tricked so that there are actually too many times in the book where she could have been killed despite the predictable happy ending of the book. Plus, the reasoning behind her dislike of Eric, the male protagonist, going off to fight for his land is drawn out, repetitive, and yet not fully explained. There were several moments in the book that felt like repeats and thus could have been done away with.
Its interesting to see what life would have been like around where I live at that time. It was good but hard to follow at times.
This book was utterly disturbing, I even felt like throwing up in some parts. This book is creepy and insane, but brilliant and I loved it.
Great overview of how the Democratic Party can return to its progessive roots and coincidentally win back the majority of the electorate.
Out of all the alternative Cinderella stories this one is by far the best.
