This one is, as the kids say. where things "get real". It's almost like the series is divided into two parts - the first three books introduce the world of Hogwarts and Wizardry, setting up everything in the universe for the last 4 books. The last three books deal with the fight against Voldemort, and this book is the bridge between the two parts of the story. The end of the book is still a major page-turner, even after several rereads. (June 2007) I love all the books, but this is the first one that gets a little more complex, a little darker, and a little more suspenseful. I just finished it last night and I couldn't put it down once I got into the last 50 pages, even though I knew exactly what was going to happen.
