The plot is very similar to the film Shattered except the genders are reversed. To save herself, a woman must live the life of another woman after having survived a plane crash. It's a case of mistaken identity taken to the extreme and complicated by near perfect reconstructive surgery. Sandra Brown seems best at writing shorter stories, ones that just break the two hundred page mark. This novel at 400+ pages drags in the middle, weighed down politics and the machinations of a teenage harlot.
