This is a fun, quick and interesting read. Bill Bryson is amazingly quite successful in his attempt to fit all of the History of Science in a single volume. Aimed at the general public, the author's vulgarisation and simplification of the topics he writes about are at times a bit frustrating, but the bibliography is extensive, and someone less lazy could definitely make use of it.

David Sedaris's books are a bit like cheap bottle of wines! While reading ... you’re immersed in them, they’re hard to put down, you laugh and while falling in love remark how wonderful it is. Then you finish them....... and realize you can't remember what just happen or why you liked them at all. Yet the next day you go out searching for another bottle of that cheap wine!!! ;)
