I started reading the series because of my infatuation with True Blood. It was interesting and the writing was catchy but I believe my impression was altered by my set ideas from the show. The show changed a good amount of the characters and I had hoped to see more of my favorites. Perhaps, without HBO, I would have continued with the series.
