An interesting read, and lots of "food for thought," if you'll pardon the pun. The scholarship seems a little flimsy, though, so I'm interested to read more on the subject and see what conclusions other researchers draw.

I read this book for summer reading, the summer before I started 9th grade. I really was fascinated by this book - it was so uniquely written. By writing in the style of a diary, you really get into the head of the main character, so to speak. Great book. I recommend this for my friend's girlfriend, who does research on mice. :)
