A nice and surprisingly warm book, despite the fact it is about the sometimes outrageous hardships a woman has to go through. Also, the writer is too good to add to much bias, you have to go there yourself, and that is always nice I think.
I love stories that have to do with the 60s and 70s counterculture so I was drawn in by that and my attention was held fairly well. I like the time shifts and how the son finds out about his mom--that was cleverly done. I will probably pick up her next one.
